Welcome to TRACE Counselling & Psychology
We start from a simple, steady belief - your experience of life matters.
Therapy can offer a place to slow down, make sense of experiences, and explore the patterns that shape how we live, relate, and respond to the world. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we see therapy as an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of ourselves, our relationships, and the events that have influenced us over time.
Our practice is founded on the belief that meaningful psychological work emerges through a genuine therapeutic relationship. Within this relationship, there is space to reflect, become curious about longstanding ways of thinking and relating, and discover new possibilities for living with greater awareness, flexibility, and intention.
Every person who comes to therapy brings a unique story. We honour that individuality by offering an approach that is thoughtful, collaborative, and responsive to each person's needs, drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches to support exploration, understanding, and emotional wellbeing.
We have a particular interest in supporting people who work in caring professions, including therapists, educators, and other helping professionals. We value the importance of having space to reflect on one's own practice, wellbeing, and professional development, recognising that supporting those who support others contributes to stronger and more connected communities.
We recognise that access to psychological care is not experienced equally by everyone, and that the meaning of affordability varies between individuals. Our fees reflect the depth, training, and experience we bring to our work, while also reflecting our belief that psychological support should be offered with consideration of the broader realities that influence access to care. In a time when the cost of therapy can feel increasingly difficult to navigate, we aim to offer a considered and sustainable approach to fees.
We offer concession fees to students training in the helping professions, recognising the importance of supporting those who are developing the skills and foundations to care for others.
