Sessions & Pricing

We are committed to offering thoughtful, relational, and ethically grounded care. We aim to keep our fees within a moderate range — reflecting the depth of our work and the importance of therapy remaining as accessible as possible. In a landscape where fees can often feel out of reach, we strive to sit somewhere more considered and sustainable.

At the same time, we hold an awareness that “moderate” is not a neutral term. Cost is felt differently by each person, shaped by lived experience, access, and systemic realities. As part of our commitment to anti-oppressive practice, we remain mindful of the ways financial access intersects with care, and we hold this with ongoing thought and responsibility.

Appointments

At TRACE, therapy is offered through regular ongoing appointments, with sessions typically scheduled weekly or fortnightly. Maintaining a consistent appointment time can support continuity of care and provide space for the therapeutic relationship and work to develop over time.

The frequency and structure of sessions can be discussed during the initial enquiry process, taking into account your needs, goals, and circumstances.

Cancellations

TRACE does not charge cancellation fees for appointments that are cancelled or rescheduled. This is a deliberate part of our philosophy and reflects our preference not to use financial penalties. Appointments are reserved specifically for you, and we greatly appreciate as much notice as possible if you are unable to attend or need to make a change.

However, it will be important to make space for conversations about repeated cancellations, frequent rescheduling, or non-attendance, with curiosity about whether there are circumstances affecting your ability to attend, whether the current arrangement continues to meet your needs, and whether it remains appropriate and sustainable for both you and TRACE.
