Noel Wilson
Psychologist | Clinical Psychology Registrar
B.PsySci, B.PsySci(Hons I), MPsych(Clinical), MAPS
At the heart of Noel's practice is the belief that a genuine therapeutic relationship can provide a space for connection, understanding, and growth. He works from a relational and trauma-aware perspective, recognising that feeling safe, seen, and understood can support people to approach their experiences with greater curiosity, compassion, and openness. He understands that reaching out for therapy often comes at a time of distress, uncertainty, or feeling stuck. Noel offers a collaborative space where people can make sense of their experiences, develop a deeper understanding of themselves, and explore new ways of relating to thoughts, emotions, and life's challenges.
Noel works with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. This may include anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, life transitions, identity exploration, perfectionism, or feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected. He approaches each person's experiences with curiosity and compassion, recognising that every person's story is unique.
Noel is currently completing core training in Attachment-Based Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (AB-ISTDP) with the ISTDP Learning Centre. He integrates this depth-oriented approach with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and cognitive behavioural principles, offering a flexible and thoughtful framework tailored to each individual. Drawing on attachment-based and psychodynamic principles, Noel recognises that our early relationships and formative life experiences can continue to shape how we understand ourselves and relate to others. When helpful, therapy may involve exploring these patterns to develop a deeper awareness of emotional responses, build greater capacity to be with difficult emotions, and support more flexible ways of relating to ourselves, others, and the challenges we encounter.
Noel has a particular interest in supporting students and emerging practitioners in the helping professions. He believes that caring for ourselves is an important foundation for caring for others.
In addition to his individual therapeutic work, Noel is a trained Tuning into Kids facilitator, supporting parents and caregivers to strengthen emotional connection and attunement with children and young people.
Noel works with adults aged 18 years and over. A Medicare rebate may be available through the Better Access initiative with an appropriate GP referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan.
Stefanie Harper Wilson

MCouns, BEd (Sec) (Hons I), BCI, Dip Mindfulness Therapy, MACA (L4), Clinical Registrant PACFA
Stefanie is a registered clinical counsellor who offers depth-oriented, trauma-aware psychotherapeutic work to help people better understand themselves, make sense of their experiences, and develop a sturdier sense of self. Through this work, she collaborates with therapy participants to support ongoing growth and development, increase capacity to stay with uncomfortable emotions, integrate past experiences, and live with greater authenticity, self-awareness, and agency.
The therapeutic relationship is central to Stefanie's practice, and she believes that meaningful therapeutic work happens through a safe, attuned, and thoughtfully held connection. Her approach is grounded in extensive clinical training and draws from a range of evidence-informed therapies, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), EMDR, existential therapy, and psychodynamic psychotherapy. She also integrates practical approaches such as CBT, ACT, and Mindfulness Therapy where they best support each person's goals.
Stefanie is deeply trauma-aware and committed to ethical, anti-oppressive practice. She has special interest in working with fellow therapists and other helping professionals to offer psychotherapy as a reflective space for practitioners to nurture their own wellbeing, deepen self-awareness, and continue growing personally and professionally.
In addition to psychotherapeutic work, Stefanie offers external professional supervision for mental health practitioners and other helping professionals, with a focus on reflective and relational practice. She also supports educators to deepen their understanding of relational practice, strengthen relationships with students, and consider the ways that relational load can contribute to stress, burnout, and attrition. She facilitates training and speaks on trauma-aware and relational therapeutic practice, informed by her experience across clinical practice, education, higher education, and professional supervision.
Alongside her clinical and supervision work, Stefanie writes on relational psychotherapy and contributes as a writer and sensitivity reader for children's and youth media, with a focus on emotional development, attachment, and child personhood.
Stefanie is a Clinical Registrant with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and a Level 4 Counsellor and recognised Supervisor with the Australian Counselling Association. She does not provide diagnostic assessments or Medicare-rebatable services.
